The interactive panels of the Moscow schools have a hidden audio recording module. The sound is also recorded by laptops of the bridges ecosystem. An analysis of the installation file of the module that the Moscow Department of Information Technologies (DIT) installs on school interactive panels has been published on GitHub. Mediazona has reviewed this package and confirmed the conclusions from the publication. On the evening of November 3, the link stopped working. Similar functionality is available on Gesher ecosystem laptops, an education source in Moscow told the publication. According to him, all the equipment is assigned to offices and responsible parties and automatic coordination takes place in the system. Initially, it was planned that the records would be processed by artificial intelligence, but so far the results of the processing are not satisfactory. Formally, such functionality is needed to coordinate the calendar and subject planning with what is taught in class. DIT Moscow did not respond to requests for comment.
