Russia has extended the ban on diesel exports until the end of January 2027. The step was taken "to maintain a stable situation in the local fuel market", the Cabinet reported. The day before, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced the extension of the ban, but at the same time stated that separate exceptions are being prepared for supplies to the world market. Such relaxations were already made in October and are planned, according to him, in November. Restrictions began to be partially removed in Russia against the background of the agreements between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump on the supply of Russian diesel fuel to the world market. According to Novak, the supply of diesel fuel from Russia to world markets in November will amount to 2.15 million tons compared to 510 thousand tons in October.
