In Russia, since 2022, 25 monuments to the victims of political repression have been destroyed or damaged - "7x7" according to the publication, this happened in 15 regions of Russia. Most of all - in the Tomsk region. 11 monuments were completely destroyed or dismantled, another 11 individual elements were lost, and the last three were damaged. 21 out of 25 objects were dedicated to repressed representatives of specific peoples - Poles, Lithuanians, Ukrainians, Estonians, Germans, Latvians and Hungarians. Poles are involved in 18 cases.
