The Industrial Headquarters of the Ministry for Digital Development approved recommendations for protecting data centers from drones and other airborne threats, Kommersant writes in reference to the document. The recommendations concern existing facilities, under construction and designed in Russia. It is proposed to divide critical data centers into three categories: - strategic, the defeat of which could disrupt the state's work for an hour or more; - regional and sectoral, when failures in economically or socially important systems are possible for four hours; - A corporation, whose damage will lead to losses for individual companies without wide-ranging consequences for the state. It is recommended to place strategic objects underground or in bunkers. For regional and industrial buildings, permanent structures above ground are acceptable; For corporate buildings, normal above-ground structures are acceptable. Depending on the category, there are requirements for distance from the border, airports, fuel and energy complex facilities and large transportation hubs, the release said. The document also stipulates a unified situation center and interaction of operators with the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Guard and the emergency services.
