A huge Katrina in Mexico entered the Guinness Book of Records.
On the occasion of the Day of the Dead holiday, the world's tallest statue of Calabria Catrina was installed. The height of the figure reached 33 meters - that's like an 11-story building!
140 craftsmen worked on the creation of the skeleton made of steel and fiberglass. A magnificent dress 27 meters long was sewn for Katrina, and a whole sea of 70 thousand marigolds was planted around her.
The statue is dedicated to Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada, who invented this iconic image in 1913.
