A beer barrel that was lost almost half a century ago has returned to its owner. The barrel of brewer Daniel Oberlechner fell into a glacial ravine in South Tyrol. The search yielded no results, and they had already forgotten about the loss. But in 2025, a storm brought the container back to the surface. The find was collected by helicopter and taken to the valley. They decided to share the findings with family members and colleagues. The owner of the Oberlechner brewery was the first to try the beer. According to him, the drink kept its taste "impeccably". Presumably the conditions in the glacier gorge helped this happen. The temperature there remained around zero degrees all the time.
