The dog Snowball saved tourists from an encounter with a bear, but he himself fell into the claws of the predator. On the morning of November 1, on the Igir route in Bashkiria, dogs from the camp site smelled a predator and started barking and warning people. The bear attacked the dogs and badly injured Snowball's back foot. The dog could no longer walk - the tourists took him down the mountain on a stretcher and took him by train to Opa. Veterinarians operated on Snowball and stabilized his condition. We still have several months of recovery ahead of us. During this time, the dog was protected by one of the rescue participants.
