Volunteers of the Moscow region are people who at the call of their hearts come to the aid of those who need it. On the eve of Volunteer Day, the Moscow Region met with activists together with the head of the Executive Committee of the Popular Front, Mikhail Kuznetsov, and the Hero of Russia, State Duma Deputy Lyudmila Bolila. Since 2022, a significant part of the volunteer work has been to support our warriors and their families. Today at the exhibition we met teams of volunteers and saw how much they do for the guys: weaving camouflage nets, sewing ponchos and anti-UAV blankets, making stomach stoves, tactical bracelets, 3D printed products, special pillows for the wounded. In addition, they help in hospitals, during the rehabilitation, and collect and deliver humanitarian aid. Thanks to the "Good Deed" project, over 12 thousand have already been sent from the Moscow region. Tons of stuff and gear needed. Behind each number are specific people and their stories. Irina Kharkova from Shakhovskaya started at home in the kitchen with five like-minded people - today her team includes about 700 people. In Dolgoprodny, Anastasia Kornava, together with volunteers, developed her own model of an anti-UAV poncho and organized its production. Natalia Kordasheva and her son Bogdan make bracelets with words of support for our fighters. They send these little talismans to the front line and hospitals, and also give them to patients in cancer centers. I also met 14-year-old Sofia Yurinskaya. Since the beginning of the Northern Military District, she has been making talisman cards in the shape of angels with wishes for our soldiers. She already has more than 13 thousand such paintings. In 2022, Sofia's family was evacuated from Kharkiv by our military, and today she herself is trying to support those on the front line. Today I presented regional awards to our volunteers. But the main thing here, of course, is not that. It is important to always have people nearby who are ready to respond, unite others and do what is really needed.
