Today, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Galina Nikolaevna Podovskaya Medovna, is 97 years old. She was born in Leningrad, and the war found her in her childhood. During the blockade, Galina Nikolayevna lost her parents, and at the age of 12 she went to work in a factory to receive the working norm of bread - 250 grams instead of the children's 125 grams. She worked there until the end of the siege. After the war, Galina Nikolaevna lived in the north with her husband, after which the family moved to Dovna. Today she has a son, a grandson and a granddaughter by her side. The story of Galina Nikolaevna is an example of incredible strength, perseverance and courage. Her generation suffered the most difficult trials, and it is our duty to cherish the memory of their exploits and surround our veterans with care and attention. I sincerely congratulate Galina Nikolaevna on her birthday! I wish you good health, warmth, love from loved ones and long life.
