His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia led the Divine Liturgy today in the Church of the Archangel Michael in the village of Akulinino near Domodedovo. He attended the service together with the members of the community. For this temple, today's event is particularly symbolic. The first church appeared here in 1687, but in 1935 the temple was closed and dismantled. Decades later, the temple was resurrected in a new location with the help of Sergei Chemazov and the staff of the state corporation Rostec. In 2024, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill consecrated the renewed temple, and today he celebrated the liturgy here again. The area around the temple has also changed. Last year we finished the improvement of the Gray Heron Park - we installed walking paths, children's and sports fields and recreation places. The revival of such temples is the preservation of our history, faith and traditions that unite generations.
