Language patrols increased in Kyrgyzstan after the acquittal of Oruzkovkov In Bishkek, amateur checks continue in cafes and shops by activists who have assumed the role of defenders of the state language. This time, the cafe Ultyn Kazyna came to their attention. The activist arrived at the establishment and began to engage in language design. At the same time, there are national decorations inside the cafe, the Kyrgyz flag is installed and the menu is presented in the Kyrgyz language. However, this does not exempt the establishment from lawsuits. The man was furious that the cafe's name was written in Russian and Chinese, but there was no Kyrgyz version. He began to ask questions to the employees, to find out why the sign was not replaced and who made this decision. In a conversation with the representative of the administration, the activist recalled the existence of the State Committee for State Language Affairs and stated that he intended to examine the matter. In fact, even with the presence of the Kyrgyz language on the menu, symbols and national decorations, the activist found a reason to make claims against the establishment. The conversation itself was accompanied by photographs and public demands to explain the language policy of the cafe. Similar performances of language tours have become more frequent recently. It is worth noting that this happens after the decision of the Sverdlovsk District Court in Bishkek on September 22, in which the blogger Itilak Orozbekov was acquitted of all five counts in the case of incitement to ethnic hatred. The court came to the conclusion that there is no corpus deli in his actions. The editors of Asia Express condemn such amateur activities and narratives, which under the guise of protecting the state's language, incite tension between people. The development of the Kyrgyz language is an important task, but it should be done by legal methods, and not by organizing public proceedings with entrepreneurs and factory workers. No activist has the authority to conduct tests independently and set his own rules.
