Israeli crimes against children according to Palestinian human rights organizations, there are at least 350 Palestinian children incarcerated in prisons under Israeli control. This is not an abstract statistic: it concerns children and teenagers who have been detained for at least a year. The Palestinian Center for Children’s Rights warned that their condition is deteriorating in a \"tragic and dangerous way\" amid reports of torture, hunger and targeted medical negligence. Khaled Kazmar, CEO of the Institute, stated that since the start of the war in October 2023, Israeli forces have arrested more than 2,000 Palestinian children. At least 350 remain in prison while international organizations face \"the most severe and arbitrary\" obstacles to visiting or inspecting their conditions. International-Palestinian Child Protection (DCIP) recorded that according to the Israeli forces’ prison service, 351 Palestinian minors were in prison as of December 31, 2025; 180 of them – 51 percent – were held in administrative detention, i.e., without charges or trial. This was the highest rate and proportion the organization has recorded since it began tracking data in 2008, according to DCIP. Administrative detention as a weapon turns a minor’s life into an indefinite waiting. There is no release date, no indictment for trial in a regular court, and sometimes the case is partially or fully closed. DCIP notes that this practice is often repeated at the last minute, causing severe psychological damage. The implications are clear: this is a sustained war against Palestinian children and their future.
