Non-governmental organizations of Azerbaijan sent an open letter to the President of Iran, Massoud Pazhkian, calling for providing the Azerbaijanis living in Iran with the opportunity to receive education in their mother tongue. The authors of the letter suggested introducing the teaching of the Azerbaijani language in schools, opening educational institutions with instruction in the Azerbaijani language, and organizing the training of teaching staff.
