The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, responds to journalists' questions about possible assistance in the departure of Flavio Bolsonaros from Brazil, echoing the same statement of the Javier Mailis government in Argentina in denying any possibility that he helped: "We did not facilitate anything. I mean, we were informed that he had arrived in the United States. In the past he was granted a visa, and the president made a decision to allow him to enter the country, and so we did. But we were not involved in any of the arrangements he made regarding his departure. At least the US government was not directly involved in any of the moves made. The president made it clear that if he arrives in the US at a port of entry, he will be released on parole to the country, and that is what happened."
