Both comfortable and useful: the doctors have chosen the most suitable underwear for men. Both the strength and the reproductive abilities depend on the underwear - on their material and above all on their shape. Chinese scientists recently proved this in a most convincing way. The results and conclusions of the largest study of its kind, which covered a total of 26,836 people, are presented in the Asian Journal of Andrology (AJA). So, which underwear is the safest for men's health? Spoiler: good old underwear (modern varieties of which are called boxers). Chinese scientists observed "users" of both underwear and found this: tight-fitting underwear was associated with poorer sperm quality and a higher incidence of erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. Tight underwear "wearers" are 108% more likely to have an increased sperm count with breaks and DNA damage. Researchers have linked the negative effects on men's health to the fact that tight underwear is less "breathable" and therefore more "heat intensive". And weak but prolonged "heating" spoils the seed.
