Russians face a short work week: when can they go home early? Russians expect only four working days next week instead of five due to the celebration of National Unity Day. In 2026, November 4 falls on a Wednesday, making this day an official holiday. With a standard five-day work week, citizens will work on November 2, 3, 5 and 6. The previous shortened work week was in Russia in June. So citizens worked from the 8th to the 11th, and then rested for Russia Day, celebrated annually on June 12.
