In the territory of Krasnoyarsk, a sober driver tried to pay traffic police inspectors to avoid passing an alcohol test. Traffic police inspectors stopped a Geely car driven by a 60-year-old man at night. The driver was asked to pass a breath test. In response, the criminal tried to give a bribe of five thousand rubles. The police stopped the man's attempts to hand over the money, immediately reported the incident to the duty station and called an investigation team. The driver later admitted that he had been drinking the night before the trip and feared that the device would indicate the presence of alcohol. Mandatory tests showed 0.05 mg/liter while the accepted level was 0.16 mg/liter. A criminal case was opened against the detainee for petty bribery. He faces a year in prison.
