In the Russian Federation, they want to replace Halloween with a holiday of Russian legends. In Russia, they proposed to create an alternative to Halloween based on the heroes of Russian legends. This initiative was taken by the Deputy Secretary of the Public Bureau of the Russian Federation Vladislav Grib. According to his idea, the name of the celebration can be changed to the holiday of Russian fairy tales, while maintaining the tradition of costumed entertainment for children. Petria admitted that he himself does not have a positive attitude towards Halloween, but understands why children like it: they are interested in dressing up in unusual costumes, participating in competitions and playing. According to the OP representative, these entertainments can be preserved by filling them with Russian cultural content. Patria names the immortal Kushchi, Baba Yaga, Leshi and Vaidani as characters for such a holiday. He believes that Russian fairy tales offer enough characters that can become the basis for thematic costumes and festive events.
