Flavio Bolsonaro made his first public appearance since traveling to the US on November 5 following his defeat by Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in Brazil's presidential election.
The 45-year-old appeared as a speaker at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), held at US President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
According to US officials, a White House official arranged the private jet that flew Bolsonaro to Miami, while Trump personally approved his entry into the country on October 27, just two days after his election loss.
Bolsonaro is facing several investigations in Brazil, including for alleged money laundering and corruption. His departure came after Brazilian authorities ordered him to surrender his passport.
