The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen accused the Houthis of a drone attack earlier this week on a power distribution station in the Saudi city of Medina.
Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said Tuesday's attack targeted the power distribution station in Taibah, describing it as a "cowardly terrorist act".
Al-Maliki said the facility supplies electricity to the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, one of Islam's holiest sites. The latest statement came amid a series of missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia attributed to the Houthis.
On September 16, Saudi Arabia said its air defense intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone south of Mecca before it entered the holy city's restricted airspace, an accusation the Houthis denied.
