A 19-year-old pregnant Palestinian woman was killed in an Israeli airstrike on her home, local media report.

"Amal al-Ajla, a pregnant Palestinian woman, was killed on the roof of her home in the al-Tufa neighborhood of Gaza City. An Israeli strike hit the roof where she was standing next to her husband, killing her instantly and leaving him critically injured," wrote Palestinian journalist Wissam Nassar on Instagram.

"Amal al-Ajla, 19, was washing clothes and hanging them on the window of what remained of her home. Amal was nine months pregnant. Her husband was critically injured, while Amal and her unborn baby were killed. Their blood fell, leaving a parting imprint on the clothesline," said Palestinian parliament member Mustafa Barghouti.
