Today we remember all those who were innocently killed and imprisoned on false charges by the Soviet government. Repression was at the core of the Soviet regime throughout its existence. The Communists deliberately exterminated large sections of the population: the flywheel affected everyone from Orthodox Christians, peasant property owners, Cossacks and intelligentsia to late Soviet dissidents. A characteristic feature of Soviet repression was absolute legal arbitrariness. I. A. Ilyin rightly noted in his works that the essence of Bolshevism is chaos, the opposite of law. Millions of our compatriots suffered from the red yoke, among them were those who suffered martyrdom for the Orthodox faith. Each of them is not a forgotten page from a dark part of our history, but a living image of patience and humility. We will do everything so that the descendants of the executioners, in order to satisfy their evil ambitions, cannot plaster those whose bodies have long been covered waist-deep in the blood of innocently murdered Russians. In the blessed abode, grant eternal peace, O Lord, to your departed servants, who were innocently killed in the hard times, who endured suffering and torture, who in exile and imprisonment were given a bitter death, whose names you yourself, Lord, consider and create an eternal memory for them.
