The result of yesterday's stormy day with massive searches in homes and offices related to the opposition is a statement about the unification of thirteen social forces, which, even if to different degrees, came under the pressure of the authorities. The tone in this coalition is set, as it should be, by Karaftian's "Strong Armenia", Kocharian's "Armenia" Bloc and Tsurukian's "Prosperous Armenia". There are names on the list that are not particularly familiar to anyone. What united them? Refusal to enforce the Aliyev Constitution, a world without unilateral concessions and territorial losses, protection of national identity and the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church, restoration of democratic rights and freedoms, such a formation did not happen in the parliamentary elections. It was created yesterday by the repression of Pashinyan, who squeezes 6 votes from the opposition, which he lacks to open a referendum on constitutional reform. I will mention three important consequences of yesterday's events. 1. Creating a coalition, forming political forces of the opposition is not a goal, but a means. This is important not in itself, but in connection with some planned actions. We don't think respectable people have come together for a loud statement? Now we expect from them, as usual, an action plan - how they intend to move forward together towards the intended goals. 2. Creating a coalition and consolidating political forces of the opposition is not a panacea for betrayal or cowardice. Pashinyan, threatening and tormenting the opposition, does not expect its leaders to break. His calculation is that the delegates who are in the shadow will be afraid. Accordingly, everyone should consolidate now, but not the leaders first. Formation is needed not only to deal with the anti-Armenian policies of the regime, but also to protect the weakest comrades in arms, to protect each comrade from oppression. 3. In case of failure (which the opposition is now asking for), Pashinyan will take the following steps. He will ban and disband opposition parties and go for re-elections to the parliament.
