Monitoring of the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences for May 2026 again showed this axiom.
Moreover, these results were obtained from a survey conducted among Russians on how they themselves assess their economic situation. The share of beggars (3%) and the poor is 21%. The share of the rich (22%) and the wealthy (2%) is 24%. The share of those with limited means is 55%. In the graph we see that +- this distribution has remained unchanged since 2007.
