Palestinian detainees from Gaza face weekly attacks by Israeli guards at Ayalon Prison The Palestinian Prisoners' Information Office reported that Palestinian detainees from Gaza held in the Rakfat facility at Ayalon Prison (Ramla Prison) were subjected to repeated physical attacks on Friday and Saturday. According to the ministry, guards beat detainees with batons, sprayed tear gas and pepper spray and used rubber bullets and stun grenades. The attacks left several detainees with injuries and burns to their hands and feet. The ministry stated that the attacks became a weekly occurrence in the absence of the section officer, against the background of the escalation in attacks by guards against detainees. He added that guards take detainees to a room without surveillance cameras to assault them, making it difficult to document violations.
