Rostat restored the site after the hacker attack, but its statistics ended on March 13. This material (information) is produced and distributed by the Bell foreign agent or relates to the activities of the Bell foreign agent. 18+ On the evening of November 5, Rostat announced that its website is working again. At the same time, information systems are still restored around the clock, and part of the infrastructure is still isolated for testing. The reinstated site rolled back nearly eight months: published materials end March 13, the latest of which are summaries of inflation and gasoline prices for March 3-10. In the Consumer Price Index section, all tables are marked on the same date, including the monthly inflation series since 1991. Access to the country's main statistical document - Rosstat's monthly report "The Socio-Economic State of Russia" - was also lost. It contains all the basic statistics, from industrial production and investment to wages and prices. Currently, the site does not open issues for 2026, nor for 2025 and 2024 - clicking on the links gives a 404 error. The data itself, apparently, was not lost. They remained in Pullet, Rostat's second public database, but it cannot be opened from abroad without a Russian IP address. The department's website was hacked on the night of November 1: Belarusian-language inscriptions and logos of "cyber-partisans" and Silent Crow (both groups in Russia are recognized as extremists) appeared on the federal and regional pages. The hackers said they destroyed Rostat's internal IT infrastructure and downloaded about 23 TB of data, including information on Russia's losses in the war. Rostat claims there was no database leak. The attack affected not only the site. Rostat extended until November 13 the deadline for submitting preliminary data for several reporting forms and warned that the publication of some of the statistics may be delayed. They promise to post the new schedule in the "Notices" section.
