Year-on-year, oil and gas revenues in October increased by 9.3%, but in 2024 they were significantly higher - 1.22 trillion rubles. - Since the beginning of the year, the budget "gets less" a trillion in revenues from oil and gas. Last year, their amount until October amounted to 7.50 trillion rubles, this year the budget received 6.44 trillion rubles. - Fuel and energy companies paid 1.12 trillion rubles in mineral production tax and 358.6 billion rubles in quarterly income tax in October. But they returned from the budget a record 415 billion rubles of cushioning payments from the beginning of the year (the compensation for the difference between domestic and foreign fuel prices) and 139.6 billion rubles of reverse excise tax. - Additional real oil and gas revenues in October amounted to 283.4 billion rubles, which is 78.5 billion rubles below expectations. In November, the ministry expects them to be 391 billion rubles above the base level. Thus, the amount allocated by the Ministry of Finance for the purchase of gold and foreign currency (actually yuan) from November 9 to December 4 will amount to 312.6 billion rubles. The volume of daily transactions (including reflection from the National Welfare Fund) will reach 15 billion rubles compared to 12.1 billion rubles in October. Why is this important? There is no threat to the ruble exchange rate from the activities of the Ministry of Finance - the purchase amount in November is even slightly lower than expected, writes economist Dmitry Polboy.
