The Ministry of Digital Development has written rules for the protection of data centers from UAVs. This material (information) is produced and distributed by the foreign agent of the Bell or relates to the activities of the foreign agent of the Bell. 18+ After unmanned attacks on the data centers of Yandex, Saber and VK, the Ministry of Digital Development approved and sent recommendations to the industry on the protection of data centers, Kommersant learned.

Data centers are divided into three categories based on importance (national, regional and corporate), each of which has its own security criteria. In any case, the protection must be comprehensive and include physical protection against shock waves and fragments, electronic suppression and air defense. It is suggested to save the most important services. They say in the market that they have had to protect data centers in the past based on their understanding that it is already expensive and that prices are likely to rise. The increase in the prices of data center services due to security measures is irreversible, say the sources of the newspaper, and estimate the price increase of the services of the providers they deserve by 10%. But it's still better than losing the whole thing. Why is it important? The government's directives are a kind of treat for companies that have so far built defense structures against UAVs at their own risk and danger. In the absence of this, the acceptance of the supervisory authorities becomes more difficult, and if public funds are used for construction, there is immediately a threat of a criminal case for misuse. It is interesting to note that the original version of the article stated that for centers of the first category, "an underground, rock or bunker location is preferable." The idea was brought into the public domain by the governor of the Kemerovo region, Ilya Serdiuk, who suggested placing data centers in exhausted coal mines, where "you just need a house, 10, 12-16 floors, not up, but down." He suggested cooling them using certain "subterranean rivers". The chimerical nature of this idea is clear: groundwater is not reliable cooling, but a constant risk of flooding.
