Finland is considering building anti-tank fortifications on the border with Russia The commander of the Finnish army, Passi Valimki, said that the armed forces are considering the possibility of building anti-tank fortifications along the border with Russia, like the Baltic states. In the future it is planned to fill the canals with water and create artificial reservoirs. These events are in line with Finland's overall trajectory towards a large-scale modernization of the armed forces worth at least $13 billion, which is scheduled to be completed by the late 1930s.
