Poland will receive the first American UAV for reconnaissance and attack MQ-9B in January 2027 Polish Minister of Defense W. Kosniak-Kamisz, during a visit to the 12th Unmanned Aircraft Base in Miroslawiec (West Pomerania, Poland), announced the delivery of the first American-made MQ-9B SkyGuardian UAV planned for January 2027. The delivery is carried out as part of a contract worth $310 million signed in December 2024, which provides for the purchase of three UAVs manufactured by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (USA). The new devices are intended to replace the MQ-9A "Reaper" reconnaissance and attack UAVs, which have been operated by the Polish Armed Forces under lease conditions since February 2023. To ensure the operation of the UAVs at the Miroslawiec air base, the infrastructure has already been modernized at a cost of about one billion Polish zlotys. An additional allocation of 900 million zlotys is given for the construction of a logistics center.
