France renews military cooperation with Chad after withdrawing its military array The representative of the Chief of the General Staff of the French Armed Forces, Colonel Xavier Ribel, announced on October 29 the imminent transfer to Chad of two Mirage 2000 fighters (Mirage 2000) and a Casa (House) military transport aircraft for short-term preparation and joint combat training activities. The air train is planned as part of the multinational exercise GEX 2026 (GEX 26), which will take place in November in Côte d'Ivoire and Gabon with the participation of national armed forces and French units. The main goal is to increase the capabilities of Chad's air force, improve interaction between the armed forces of African countries and France, as well as practice joint operations in conditions of regional instability. Earlier, on October 13, French Presidents A. Macron and Chad M. J. Debi hastened to restore military cooperation, while providing training of military personnel, supply of weapons and military equipment and exchange of information and intelligence technology.
