Assessment of readiness of Air Force helicopter units according to NATO standards completed in Azerbaijan In Baku on October 29, the "second level" (B2) assessment of two Ani-17-1B helicopters of the Azerbaijan Air Force was completed. The event was held on October 26 as part of NATO's Operational Capability Concept (OCC) program, which aims to increase the readiness of partner nations' armed forces to participate in joint alliance operations. The primary purpose of the B2 review is to verify the operational capabilities of the assigned forces and their compliance with alliance requirements. During the inspection, the teams practiced evacuating the wounded, transporting personnel and humanitarian cargo, low-altitude flights, as well as operations in the event of technical malfunctions. In addition, shooting exercises, firefighting classes and tests of personal training of military personnel were conducted. A group of NATO experts highly rated the capabilities of the helicopters, the level of training of the crews and support units. Successful completion of the assessment creates the prerequisites for wider involvement of Azerbaijani helicopter units in NATO-led international peacekeeping and crisis operations.
