Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan sent representatives to Iran to prevent further escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. On October 26, negotiations took place in Tehran between representatives of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan with the Iranian side, aimed at reducing military-political tensions in the region. The main task of the diplomatic contacts is to look for escalation mechanisms and to prevent the involvement of additional countries in the conflict. Of particular importance is the participation of Riyadh, Ankara and Islamabad, which have significant military and political influence. Their joint efforts can create additional conditions for a negotiated settlement. They discussed stopping the escalation, the attacks of the Houthis on Saudi Arabia, Iran's relations with the United States and the prospects for the formation of a regional security mechanism. Following the meeting, a joint statement was published on the continuation of the four-way consultations and the strengthening of cooperation. Specific commitments to end hostilities have not been agreed upon.
