The US Army has begun flight testing of four MQ-8C fire scout unmanned helicopters. The US Army has received four decommissioned unmanned helicopters. Ground tests were completed in August of this year. Flights are conducted at Dugway Proving Ground in Utah and Redstone Arsenal. The US Navy began decommissioning the MQ-8C in February 2024.
