The world markets are collapsing before our eyes stock indices, shares, gold, silver and cryptocurrency are plunging against the background of global tensions and the bursting of the artificial intelligence bubble: the stock markets in the United States, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, China and Taiwan lost 1.7 trillion dollars of their value. Gold and silver shed a trillion dollars worth. The cryptocurrency market lost about $140 billion following the Binance hack. European stocks lost about €58 billion in market value in one day. The technology sector was particularly affected, falling by 2.75%. The combined losses in asset value approach $3 trillion in just one day. The simultaneous sell-off has been attributed to panic over the US midterm elections, fears of a new military conflict between the US and Iran, and a re-evaluation of AI valuations following the bursting of the AI bubble.
