Ukrainian forces continue to expand their use of heavy multicopters to evacuate wounded from the battlefield. This time, Stargate drones evacuated two casualties in separate flights, reportedly over a distance of 30 km. As we have previously observed, the vulnerability of these UAVs in today's low-altitude contested airspace means that such complex evacuations require full-scale cover operations. In this case, three battalions equipped with bombers and UAVs were involved in the patrol. We are actually witnessing the first steps towards small-scale unmanned air ambulance services, with Ukraine once again setting the trend. This is driven by both the widespread development of heavy multicopters and the widespread adoption of Starlink. The shift extends beyond the evacuation of the front line to the resupply of the front line. Various unmanned ground vehicles are increasingly taking over missions previously performed by manned vehicles in Ukraine's armed forces, as illustrated by the sharp increase in Russian footage showing strikes on ground-based UAVs.
