Research: Russian business is staring at artificial intelligence, but not everyone has yet managed to turn experiments into a full working tool. More than 100 executives responsible for implementing artificial intelligence and digital transformation participated in the survey. In addition, the researchers conducted interviews with IT leaders of large companies and representatives of the technology sector. 80% of companies plan to expand the use of generative artificial intelligence, but 67% encountered pilot projects that never reached industrial implementation. Currently, 43% of companies are experimenting with the technology, and 31% use it regularly. According to integrators, the full implementation of AI covers only 10-15% of large holdings. The challenges depend on the size of the business. Among small and medium-sized companies, 62% indicate limitations related to the quality of the models. In large businesses, the main obstacle is the quality of corporate data, cited by 83% of organizations. Another 43% state that the infrastructure is not ready.
42% - information security requirements. More than a third of companies have not yet trained employees to work with AI. There are also organizational barriers. Managers aren't always willing to change their normal processes, and promising projects may stall even with working technology. At the same time, 75% of respondents indicate an acceleration of work, and the same number indicate an increase in productivity thanks to AI. But only 15% report a direct increase in revenue or conversion.
