Sellers are reducing sales participation due to a shortage of goods and logistics. The traditional season of November and New Year's sales may pass with minimal discounts and limited variety. The destruction of warehouse inventory and the lack of working capital denied the business the opportunity to produce inventory for shares, reports Forbes. The crisis in the market is confirmed by logistics operators, who traditionally register an increase in transport volumes at the end of summer, when full volumes are created for sales. According to data from the Byte Transit company, in the months of July-August the number of freight invoices issued decreased by 12% compared to the year, and the volume of freight decreased by 4%. Retail representatives interviewed say that it is impossible to present the usual discounts. Many suppliers did not manage to order products and raw materials from China in time. The situation worsens due to delays in compensation for burnt products. The representatives of the market sellers' association emphasize that under conditions of limited supply and lack of financing, trading at a discount is not economically viable. At the same time, markets declare their readiness for the peak season. Shopping centers also remain optimistic. According to the Association of Real Estate and Retail Specialists (ATER), sales will take place in shopping malls, as stores need to clear money from old collections, although the range of new supplies has also been significantly reduced.
