SBU General Serhii Duka smashed phones with an ax until the armed men wouldn't let NABU detectives in, the SAP prosecutor said.
According to prosecutor Mikola Kras, on November 4, at around 05:30, detectives arrived at Duka's apartment with a search warrant. The gunmen sent a round into the room and aimed laser pointers at the detectives.
According to the prosecutor, the detectives were led for about two hours. During that time, the lawsuit alleges, Duka destroyed his cell phones. The SBI is investigating the circumstances of the search disruption.
SAP asks the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court to take Duka into custody in the "Carthage" case on bail of UAH 100 million. He is suspected of participating in a criminal organization, which, according to the investigation, ensured the operation of fraud centers and other illegal businesses.
