The US has approved a possible sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 MSE missiles to Ukraine for $2.1 billion.
Along with the missiles, the package will include spare parts and logistical support, the US State Department said. The prime contractor will be Lockheed Martin.
The purchase will be paid for with donations from Canada, Germany and Norway through the JUMPSTART program, as well as with Ukrainian funds financed by an EU loan. This agreement does not involve US funds.
