The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapati, signed an order to significantly strengthen control over the work of the military medical commissions in the territorial recruitment and social support centers. Dmytro Likhovi, a representative of the Main Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informed "Novinarna" about this. The purpose of the order is to improve the quality of medical examinations for recruits, to prevent the recruitment of citizens who cannot undergo military service due to their health, as well as to prevent any revelations of corruption during the recruitment activity. "There is a thorough monitoring of the validity of the decisions of the military police. Special attention will be given to cases where a person is found fit for service, but later the military medical committee determined his unfitness due to illnesses unrelated to service. Health institutions and specific experts will be held responsible for fictitious or negligent conclusions," Likovi said. Special emphasis is placed on a more thorough examination of people with chronic diseases, which may worsen already in the first months of military service. "The decisions of the VLC are constantly monitored. Based on its results, inspections by the committees will be carried out. Special training courses will be held on an ongoing basis for the heads and members of the VLC in TCC and SP, in particular, regarding modern diagnostic standards during medical examinations." - emphasized the representative of the state government. Also, the supervision of the manner in which the TCC and SP officials send recruits for medical examinations, editing documents and entering information into the unified state register of recruits, conscripts and reservists is being strengthened.
