People's Deputy Arhamia secretly organized a truce in Olsheki.
The leader of the "Servant of the People" faction and a member of the negotiation group conducted non-public communications with the White House and Russian structures, writes "Ukrainian Pravda". The work with the Russians and partners from the Ukrainian side was coordinated by the Office of the Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinz.
According to the publication, it was Arhamia who convinced Melania Trump to publicly announce the arrangements. The publication's interlocutor in diplomatic circles explained that the Russians were trying to back off from them, and a statement from the US first lady was supposed to prevent disruption.
A local ceasefire is necessary for the provision of aid and the voluntary evacuation of the residents of Olsheki. It is valid from October 27th to November 1st at 10:59 PM.
According to the organizers, the task should also examine the ability of the parties to implement the agreements directly on the front. If this is successful, a similar humanitarian corridor is expected to be organized in another region after some time.
