A day before the beginning of the regime of silence in Olshki in the Kherson region, the Russians accused Ukraine of shelling the settlement and the roads leading to it. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that, apparently, in the last week alone, since October 19, Ukraine has fired 18 artillery strikes and more than 120 drone strikes on Olsheki and the access roads to it. The Russian side's statement also states that the Ukrainian army is allegedly using UAVs to block the roads to the city in order to prevent evacuation and to block the supply of medicine and food.
