The winners of the elections in Serbia want to stop arms exports to Ukraine, - Reuters.
The leading candidates of the "Student List" said that the future government will stop the supply of Serbian weapons to the war zones, in particular to Western intermediaries who will transfer them to Ukraine. Also, the party does not plan to join the EU sanctions against Russia, we respect Russia as a great power, as well as our historically important partner, and in many cases - protector, - said the representative of the "Student List" Jovo Bakic. In the summer, he noted that there would be no changes in the country's foreign policy. He also added that Serbia is a small country, so its sanctions will not affect Russia, but they will be symbolically bad.
Serbia remains dependent on Russian energy sources: Gazprom supplies it with about 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas annually at below-market prices. The representatives of the movement call it economic dependence.
Regarding joining the European Union, the candidates propose to first carry out internal reforms and complete negotiations, and then put the issue of membership to the citizens' vote. At the same time, their position regarding Kosovo contradicts the EU's demand to normalize Belgrade's relations with Pristina.
