The Israeli exit polls have been updated upwards for the Netanyahu bloc, with the major networks updating forecasts overnight. Initial exit polls by channels 12, 13 and here (the public broadcaster) showed a right-wing alliance/religion Netanyahu around 50 seats compared to a slight advantage or almost equality for the opposition bloc led by Gadi Eisenkots Ishar, with Arab parties at a record of 17-19. Updated data published early Wednesday put the blocs roughly equal (around 51 each) or give Netanyahu's side a narrow advantage (Channel 12: 52 to 49). Likud remains the single largest party in major polls, and has outperformed in many pre-election polls. The pro-Netanyahu Channel 14 predicted even stronger results (up to 62 seats after its own update). Neither party reached the 61 seats needed for a majority; Early partial counts also show that the Netanyahu bloc is performing better than the first exit polls. Israeli exit polls and pre-election polls have a recurring pattern of underestimating Likud/Yamin support, and the final results often vary by several seats. The official count continues. The coalition negotiations are expected to be lengthy.
