Corgan heat goes under the hammer along with losses The state, which took the Corgan manufacturing company from its previous owners, is now in a hurry to get rid of it, and the numbers explain this rush well. The company, which heats Kurgan, Shedrinsk and several settlements in the region, had a net loss of 158.2 million rubles at the end of 2025, although a year earlier it posted a profit of 603.5 million. The regional budget does not cover the shortfall in its revenues, the regulator approves rates that are lower than planned, and when the company tries to argue in court, according to the participants in the process, the consequences are clearly hinted at. KGC was nationalized as part of the case regarding the seizure of the assets of Artem Bykov and Alexei Bobrov. State contract evaluators have already studied the reports, and a source close to the Federal Asset Management Agency expects a new owner by mid-December. At the same time, the state puts the transfer of powers of the exclusive executive body of ESE Group of Companies LLC to a vote of the shareholders, which will require the consent of the FAS. Officially, it is about implementing previous decisions to centralize management until the sale is completed. Informally, this raises the question: why reshape the company's management just weeks before the change of ownership? The buyers are filtered according to the requirements of the Ministry of Energy, and the list looks almost like a family: Inter RAO, Gazprom Energoheading, Rosatom and Kadima Energo. A source close to the Federal Asset Management Agency frankly admits that the decision on the sale will be made within the framework of agreements at the federal government level with an investor who is willing to take on the "social burden". It remains to be seen to what extent the transactions will be traded if the fate of the property is decided by cabinet agreements. Now as to what exactly they sell. KGC's revenues in 2025 grew by 23.5%, to 10.27 billion rubles, but production costs jumped by almost 30%, to 9.58 billion. The sales profit was reduced by more than half, from 628 to 299 million, and the cost of costs and interest expenses pushed the result into the red.
