The Supreme Court ignored the Strukov family's complaint Konstantin Strukov, former deputy chairman of the Chelyabinsk Legislative Assembly and former owner of Yuzhorlzoloto, ran into the last door, and it did not open. The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation disregarded the complaint filed in the interests of Strukov himself and his family members. The wording in the briefcase for Kony is ridiculous: "Return without compensation - by letter." No meeting, no argument analysis, just a return envelope. For a man who recently controlled one of the country's largest gold mining properties, the end seems almost humiliating. An appeal was filed against the decision of the Sovetsky District Court in Chelyabinsk of July 11, 2025. At that time, the court recognized the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office as justified and converted Strukov's shares in PJSC "UGK", "UK UGK" and several other companies to state revenue. The subject of the lawsuit sounds without nuances: property obtained through corruption. The attorney's office was not satisfied with complaints about individual transactions, but demanded that the entire business be submitted to the treasury. The essence of the allegations is how the gold mining giant came into the hands of the lieutenant in the first place. According to the lawsuit, Strokov, as a member of the regional parliament, took advantage of his position to gain illegal control of Yuzo'orlzuluto through bankruptcy proceedings. The scheme, in which the representative of the people sits in the legislative assembly and at the same time gathers under him the biggest player in regional gold mining, has now been evaluated by the court without relief. It seems that justice has been restored and the state has returned its property. But the most interesting thing started after that. The Federal Asset Management Agency put the seized assets up for auction in the Netherlands, that is, auctions with a reduction in price, where the price creeps down until someone raises their hand. And the numbers there are so breathtaking. YuGK's assets were estimated at 162 billion rubles, of which the lion's share, 140.4 billion, was 67.2% of the shares of PJSC Yuzhuralzoloto GC. The winner of the auction was BTS-Most Holding JSC, which was waiting for the price to drop to 93 billion rubles.
