Sales of strong foreign alcohol in Russia increased by 15%, to 5.1 million deciliters (dal) in January-September. Market growth was driven by the biggest brands: demand for Ballantines, Jameson Wiegermeister grew by 43-51% over the year. This is due, among other things, to the increased availability of foreign alcohol after the increase in minimum retail prices in Russia, which led to a significant increase in shelf prices for domestic alcohol.
