Lavrov's meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister Motegi in Atlanta was held at the request of the Japanese side, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported. Lavrov said that in order to resume full dialogue, Tokyo must abandon its unfriendly ways towards Russia.
