Moscow is responsible for 92% of all expenditures for the implementation of artificial intelligence in Russia, according to a Finexpertiza study based on Rostat data. In 2025, capital companies spent 161.8 billion rubles on artificial intelligence out of 176.1 billion all Russian. St. Petersburg is in second place with 3.2 billion rubles. Across the country, spending on artificial intelligence nearly doubled over the year, with most of it coming from the financial and insurance sectors.
